eneral notes

■ Read these instructions carefully right up to the end!

■ Water meters are precision instruments. Protect against

shock and vibration. Store frost-free

■ The sealing surface and thread is equipped with protec-

tion cap

■ Check and ensure before beginning the

installation:

■ That the sealing surfaces are at and free from damage

such as notches, grooves, etc.

■ That all indications on the dial are readable

■ The meter ts in type, size, temperature and pressure

rating to the installation and metering point

■ For polluted water we recommend installing of a lter or

strainer in the inlet; before the meter is be installed

■ The meter should always be installed at the lowest

possible point of the piping as well as frost protected, to

prevent the accumulation of air and damages

■ The water meter must be installed into the pipeline free

of any of mechanical forces or tensions

■ Water meters must be operating completely lled

with water - for wet dial meters this includes also the

counter!

■ The meter must be protected with appropriate measures

against pressure shocks in the pipeline

■ In case of frost empty completely and shut off the instal-

lation (including the meter), if necessary, dismount the

meter

■ The meter must always be easily accessible and legible.

The dial and the indications regarding the conformity/

metrology must be visible and readable at any time

■ We recommend that the installation points on the

pipeline should be secured with a seal against unauthor-

ized dismounting. The seal should not be removable or

loosened without visible damage

■ The installation has to be done by qualied professional

personnel

■ Les portées de joint sont équipées de capuchons de

protection pour d’éviter les détériorations Avant le

début de l’installation, il faut vériﬁer:

■ Que les portées de joint soient planes et non endomma-

gées (encoches, rainures etc.)

■ Que toutes les indications sur le cadran soient lisibles

■ Que le compteur corresponde à l’installation, au calibrage,

à la plage de température et à la pression du réseau

■ Pour des eaux chargées, il est conseillé d’installer des

ltres en amont du compteur

■ Le compteur doit toujours être installé sur le point le plus

bas possible de l’installation et hors gel pour éviter l’accu-

mulation d’air ou divers détériorations

■ Le compteur doit être installé dans la canalisation libre de

toute force mécanique

■ Le compteur d’eau doit être entièrement rempli d’eau -

ceci inclut également le totalisateur pour les compteurs à

cadran noyé!

■ Le compteur doit être protégé contre les coups de béliers

dans les réseaux

■ En cas de risque de gel, couper et vider entièrement (y

compris le compteur), si nécessaire démonter le compteur

■ Le compteur doit toujours être facilement accessible et

lisible

■ Le cadran et les indications relatives à la marque de

conformité et métrologique doivent être visibles et lisibles

à tout moment.

■ Nous recommandons de sécuriser les points d’installation

sur la canalisation au moyen d’un sceau pour éviter toutes

manipulations. Ce sceau ne doit pas être démonté ou

desserré sans dommage visible

■ L’installation doit être effectué par du personnel qualié
